Alors que nous ouvrons ce premier chapitre public, notre priorit\u00e9 est d'\u00e9tablir un programme de bourses cr\u00e9dible, de soutenir la premi\u00e8re cohorte de Boursiers Briye, de constituer une base de donateurs s\u00e9rieuse et de cr\u00e9er des pratiques de gouvernance qui honorent la confiance qui nous est accord\u00e9e.<\/p>

Lighting pathways to education, technology, and opportunity. The meaning behind the name 01. The meaning behind the name Briye \/ to shine. The name Briye means to shine. It reflects a simple belief: talent already exists in Haiti, but too many young people are held back because opportunity remains out of reach. Briye was created to help change that. “Talent already exists. Opportunity is the barrier.” Briye Inc. is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to expand access to education, digital opportunity, leadership formation, and youth development in Haiti. We believe that education is not only a personal achievement. It is a pathway to dignity, confidence, service, and long-term community transformation. When young people are given access to education, mentorship, digital tools, and trusted support, they are better positioned to build futures that strengthen families, communities, and institutions. Our Mission We invest in future builders. Briye expands access to education, digital opportunity, and leadership formation for promising young Haitians facing financial and structural barriers. “We invest in young people not as passive beneficiaries, but as future builders.” Students, professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and institution-builders who can contribute to Haiti’s development with skill, discipline, and purpose. Our Vision A Digital Inclusion and Innovation Centre. Briye’s long-term vision is to serve as a civic platform connecting education, technology, mentorship, research, and opportunity for Haiti’s next generation. For us, digital inclusion is not only about access to devices, platforms, or connectivity. It begins with human capacity \u2014 the education, confidence, networks, and support systems that allow young people to participate meaningfully in the future economy. “A Haiti where talent is not wasted because opportunity is inaccessible.” 04. Our Approach Four principles guide everything. Eligibility is set deliberately to reach students who would benefit most while keeping the process fair and accessible. Principle 01 \u2022 Access We reduce financial and structural barriers that prevent promising students from pursuing higher education and long-term opportunity. Principle 03 \u2022 Formation We believe education should develop more than credentials. Briye emphasizes mentorship, reflection, discipline, leadership, and service. Principle 02 \u2022 Dignity We treat students as scholars, not cases. Our language, selection process, and support model are designed to protect dignity and recognize potential. Principle 04 \u2022 Trust We are committed to transparent governance, careful stewardship of donor funds, clear scholarship criteria, and accountable decision-making from the beginning. 05. Why Briye Matters Haiti’s future depends on its human capital Across the country, talented young people continue to face serious barriers to higher education, professional preparation, and participation in emerging economic opportunities. Briye exists to help close that gap. “Our work begins with scholarships, but the deeper purpose is larger: to invest in young people who can help build stronger communities and more capable institutions.” Education alone will not solve every challenge. But when education is paired with mentorship, trust, digital opportunity, and civic responsibility, it becomes a foundation for transformation. 06.
